Third Person In Custody Connected To Alleged Robbery In Cuba

The third of three suspects wanted in connection to an alleged robbery and murder in Crawford County is now in custody.

The highway patrol’s Sergeant Darrin Haslag says 22-year-old Daeshawn Brandon, of St. Louis, was taken into custody earlier this week and is charged with first-degree murder, robbery and assault along with two counts of armed criminal action.

Also facing the same charges are 24-year-old Malik Brandon of Sullivan and 22-year-old Maurice Williams of Branson.

It’s alleged that the three defendants murdered 34-year-old Mister Z. Halferty, of Union, at Hood Park in Cuba back during the evening hours of February 1^st.

A joint investigation led to the three arrests.
