Two people are dead after a vehicle was swept off a flooded roadway in Wright County.
The highway patrol says it happened late Thursday night at Parks Creek along Highway-M west of Grovespring. Four other occupants of the vehicle were rescued without injuries.
The two deceased are identified as 19-year-old Alexander Roman-Ranelli, of Springfield, and 20-year-old Devin Holt, of Grovespring.
They were both pronounced at the scene.
There have now been seven drowning across the state so far this year.
