Senator Hawley Calls For National TikTok Ban

GOP Senator Josh Hawley wants a full ban on Tik Tok.

The Missouri Senator says he’ll sponsor a bill for a full outright ban on the use of the social media app, Tik Tok in the United States.

Hawley sponsored a measure last year banning Tik Tok from being downloaded to phones and other electronic devices owned and operated by the United States.

It was attached to the Defense Authorization bill, and President Biden signed it.

The app is owned by a Chinese company.

Hawley says Tik Tok could gather information on anyone who uses the app.
