2-Year-Old Boy from Illinois Drowns at Lake of the Ozarks

A 2-year-old boy from Fairview Heights, Illinois, is dead after drowning Sunday morning at McCubbins Point at Lake of the Ozarks.

The marine division of the highway patrol says it happened when the youngster wandered away from his family and was later located in the water.

The unidentified boy was not wearing a life jacket and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead around two hours later.
