The highway patrol is seeking individuals who are interested in attending a Community Alliance Program.
Sergeant Kyle Green says Troop-F Headquarters in Jefferson City is hosting the program which will give those attending insight and understanding of the training and duties of highway patrol troopers.
Criminal investigations, bomb squad operations, canines, water patrol operations and SWAT will be included among the topics.
The Community Alliance Program is set for April 13th.

Captain Jason N. Crites, commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City, MO, announces Troop F is seeking individuals interested in attending a Community Alliance Program. The Community Alliance Program will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, and will be hosted at the Troop F Headquarters in Jefferson City. The Community Alliance Program is a unique opportunity for citizens to gain insight and understanding of the training and many duties of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. It offers an opportunity to meet and interact with troopers and civilian employees of the Patrol. Classroom and practical instruction will cover various topics, including criminal investigations, bomb squad equipment, aircraft division, drone demonstration, canine demonstration, communication’s division, museum tour, emergency vehicle operations course ride along, SWAT, water patrol operations, and scenario-based training.
The class size is limited to 30 people and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, following a criminal record check. The public can apply to attend the program by going to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s webpage www.statepatrol.dps.mo.gov and click on the Services tab. After clicking on the Services tab, click Community/Student Alliance and the available programs page will open. Applications will be accepted until the class is filled.
